Dear ABC-Networker!

Preparations For The Final Meeting In Krakau

After the summer vacations we write you with this newsletter first information concerning the final ABC-Meeting in Krakow.

The meeting will take place from Tuesday, 26th April (arrival) until Friday, 29th April (departure) 2004 in Krakow. We have a reservation in a hotel with adequate space and are working on the detailed programme (e.g. excursion to Auschwitz, cultural programme, visit at the Austrian Library etc.).

Besides the presentation of results and contents from the four working groups and a supporting programme the final meeting should also glance beyond the official end of the ABC-Network: what was the benefit for the schools involved, what are impacts for the schools, how could be continued (in an other, informal) form ...? And once again the both central themes «creativity» and «Central Europe» shall be discussed.

As a point of urgency we would like to check with you how far you can contribute to your costs for travelling and stay. Unfortunately we will not be in the position to come up for all your costs for travelling and accommodation–as we did in our last meeting in Vienna. We assume that you have considered costs arising from a final meeting in your budgets and ask you to inform us if (and up to which extend) you can come up for your travel- and accommodation-costs on your own. Please let us know your possibilities for financial contributions until 15th November latest (sums in Euro please)!

For a first collection of creative ideas we also ask you to send us some proposals concerning the possible form of your final presentation. We suggest as setting a situation similar to a market place, like in Vienna. We are looking forward to your feedback!
